Rules and the process: In this activity the groups of children/pupils are selected by random choice of the game: ‘Аtоm’. Groups of children/pupils are taking their places in front of the computer. Each group has one box with the colours by which the image on the picture they are to guess is covered. The game starts when one of the students from particular group takes one colour which can be found on the screen and opens it by clicking the mouse. When the task shows up, he/she resolves it and then checking the result by clicking the mouse. At the same moment the picture in the background is discovered. Next student takes new leaf, recognises the colour and resolves the task. Other pupils from the group are helping. The activity is finished when the covered picture is revealed. The fastest group shouts BINGO and gets the first price, than the next group the second price etc… They give to each others constructive feedback information. Pointing out the aim of the class on the board. |

NARRATING STORY BY PICTURES You are taking walk and suddenly you are at the place when an event occurred. The event is on your cards. You are journalists and you have the task to make the story on the event in the group. Differentiated teaching Five levels of narration Flow/process: 1.Sharing different stories. After revealing the picture students are taking places at the desk of their group. Making criteria for nice speaking/narration: SPEAK: *Loud so everyone can hear you! *With the full sentence *By chosen words and new words *We are not stopping while speaking *This, that, then, aaaaa 2.Work in differentiated groups. The teacher is visiting groups. Making attention to content and also on the quality of narration. Teacher is encouraging students to create new and different lines/sentences. The cooperation in the teams/groups is important. 3.Reporting in each group *Narrating stories and *Recording the material 4.Giving feedback information on narration and discussion how to improve one 5.Individual narration 6.What have we learned? Recorded material is placed in children’s portfolio for narration and by this portfolio the development of students in this field. Systematising of the things learned. |
ACT IT OUT!
Gives instructions to pupils to act the most interesting part from each story. The acting is followed by music. Students/pupils use the text they created. While preparing we are making scene and place for public They are creating their own performance and preparing for the show. Each group is performing one by one. They are summing up the impressions from the acting, laughing and commenting. Groups are getting applause. |
